These nets are so light that when you do get into a fish, you forget they are on your back! The frame and locking mechanism is so simple you dont end up with flesh wounds in the colder conditions. When extended, the gye nets especially, can land sizeable fish with the utmost of ease. I prefer the 21" trout gye as it allows me to walk long distances and over the dreaded barbwire fences without snagging all the time. This net has landed 9lbs salmon this season very easily. The larger salmon gye nets are ideal for larger rivers to net and release those big Spring fish.
